For Parents

Your Athlete Deserves More Than a Workout

You want your child to become stronger, faster, and more confident — without being placed into a one-size-fits-all training program. At BSP, we consider the whole athlete: their age, sport, movement quality, current ability, health, goals, schedule, and stage of development.

Training should help athletes perform now while building a foundation that supports their long-term growth. Every session is intentional. Every progression is earned. Every athlete is seen.

The Journey

How Athletes Progress at BSP

Every athlete follows a purposeful path — from assessment to achievement and beyond.

01

Evaluate

We assess movement quality, strengths, limitations, sport demands, and individual goals to understand where each athlete is starting from.

02

Develop

Athletes build movement quality, strength, speed, coordination, skill, and confidence through intentional, progressive coaching.

03

Perform

Training translates to the field, court, or track. Athletes apply their preparation in practices, games, and competition.

04

Grow

We reassess progress and continue developing the athlete for the next stage — because development never stops.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started with Byrd Sport & Performance.

Byrd Sport & Performance works with athletes across all stages of development—from youth athletes just beginning their athletic journey to varsity high school competitors, collegiate athletes, and professional athletes. Training is tailored to the individual, meeting each athlete where they are in their development and progressing them based on their age, experience, sport, goals, and performance needs.

No. BSP is built for athletes at every level — from those brand new to structured training to advanced competitors. Every athlete begins with an evaluation so we can build a plan that fits where they are today and where they want to go.

Getting started is simple. Reach out through the contact form or by phone, and we'll schedule an evaluation to learn about your athlete, their goals, and where they are currently. From there, we build an individualized plan.

Every athlete is different. The evaluation is how we understand your athlete's movement, strength, speed, and goals before designing anything. It ensures the training plan is individualized rather than generic — that's central to how BSP works.

The evaluation includes movement screening, strength and power assessment, mobility checks, and goal setting. Together with the athlete and family, we use those results to build a customized development plan tailored to their sport and aspirations.

Athletes should bring water, athletic shoes, and a great attitude. We'll communicate anything sport-specific ahead of each session. Dress comfortably for movement in athletic wear.

We're happy to help. Reach out through the contact form or give us a call and we'll talk through any questions you have about your athlete.
